Observation Week
Each semester we set aside a week when parents, grandparents, and other very important family members come into class to observe their dancer. Cameras are encouraged!
Remember that if you have a young child(ren) that may be disruptive, please consider getting a sitter so that everyone can enjoy the class.
Halloween
Each year the week before Halloween our students enjoy dressing up in their favorite costumes. (Many dancers wear a costume from a previous recital.) Dancers should wear costumes that still permit them to dance in class. If Halloween is on a dance day, the studio is closed to allow our students time go trick-or-treating.
Great American Teach In
Each year in November Suncoast Academy of Dance faculty and student assistants visit area schools for the Great American Teach In. In past years we have visited Lake St. George, Garrison Jones, Highland Lakes, Ozona, Cypress Woods, and Calusa Elementary schools. If you would like for us to attend your school for this wonderful event, please contact our studio office.
Relay for Life
For the last several years, Art in Motion and other Suncoast Academy of Dance students have participated in East Lake High School's annual Relay for Life. This is a wonderful event and enjoyed by many of our dancers each year. This event is typically in April.
In 2014 AIM's "Just Dance" team raised almost $1,400! 303 participants from 23 teams raised over $25,000 for the American Cancer Society. Thank you to everyone who supported our team and Relay for Life.
